Jim Bertrand

About: After 25 years of sales and marketing to the financial services industry, Jim decided to merge his passion for sport with his sales experience and founded Tri2Bfit in 2006. Over this time, he has several long-term manufacturer partnerships, due to his hard work, honesty and Christian values.
Jim has a BS degree from Bentley University, Waltham, MA. He has competed in over 100 triathlons (including five Ironman’s), multiple marathons (including Boston) and enjoys running, cycling, swimming, hunting and playing golf.
He and his wife Ruthann live in Huntersville, NC, where they are very active in their church and spend leisure time with their 6 children and 7 grandchildren.
Sigurd Lee

About: A 49-year veteran of the athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories industry, including 25 years with Nike, which included roles as Agency Head in both the Southeast and Southwest. Served as Director of Sales for Specialty Athletics at Nike Corporate. Followed up with roles as National Account Sales at Russell Corporation, Director of Sales for Run Specialty, and Outdoor Specialty at Aetrex Corporation. Began representing Topo Athletic in 2014. Joined the Tri2BFit team in 2023.
Education: Attended Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, on an athletic scholarship for Cross Country and Track. Was graduated with a BA and MA in History.
Married to Kim Lee and lives in Marietta, GA.
Hobbies: Restoring and refitting classic plastic sailboats and then sailing them.
Joe Gibson

About: Joe grew up in Harrisonburg, VA, where running quickly became a big part of my life. In high school, he won five state championships and qualified for the Footlocker Nationals, which eventually led him to Brevard Junior College and later Clemson University. At Clemson, Joe earned All-ACC honors, won an ACC Championship in the Indoor 3000, and was twice named Cross Country MVP.
After college, he ran with Hanson’s Olympic Development Team in Michigan, where he also discovered his passion for the Run Specialty world. That path took him from coaching at James Madison University to 15 years at Big Peach Running Co., where he managed stores, launched the RUNATL brand, and led footwear buying across all locations.
Today, with over 20 years in specialty retail and sales, Joe loves helping retailers and brands grow. He lives in Chattanooga, TN, with my wife Rachel, dog Ben, and cat Prydz.
Naseem Haje

About: Naseem is a proud Adams State University alum, where he was a multiple-time All-American in cross country and track and helped the team bring home several national titles. After competing as a professionally sponsored athlete, he shifted into the running industry, starting at Runner’s Alley/Marathon Sports as a fit associate and later sales manager.
From there, Naseem spent time with On as both a tech rep and sales rep across New England and Upstate New York, before taking on the role of East Coast Sales Manager for Falke. Since February 2024, he’s been part of the Tri 2B Fit team, combining his love for running with years of experience in footwear and sales.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find Naseem out on the trails or hanging with his two dogs, Bella and Luna.

Sean Oakley

About: Sean’s passion for specialty retail began with his first job in a run shop in high school and continued through his time at a specialty outdoor store after college. For the past 11 years, he’s worked as a sales representative, partnering with top brands and retailers across Specialty Outdoor, Run, and Family Footwear. Known as a trusted partner, Sean values building strong, lasting relationships in the industry.
A graduate of NC State with a degree in Political Science, Sean is an avid (though self-proclaimed slow) trail runner, occasional guitarist, and paddleboard enthusiast. He’s also a fan of thought-provoking books and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Sean lives in Greenville, SC, with his wife, Nicole, and their 10-year-old daughter, Grace, where they stay busy with plenty of adventures together.
Jonathan Martin

About: Jonathan got his start in the run specialty industry shortly after graduating from the University of North Carolina Pembroke, where he was a cross country and track & field athlete. After spending time working for and managing different run specialty shops, Jonathan transitioned to the brand side as a Field Marketing Rep, overseeing NC, SC and Southern VA.
Jonathan still continues to train at a high level and has a passion for road racing and competing. But what brings him the most joy is spending time outdoors with his wife, Jasmine and Cocker Spaniel, Pumpkin.
As a Sales Rep, Jonathan is living his passion of supporting retailers and developing meaningful relationships in the Footwear and Outdoor industries.

Dave Martinez

About: Dave began his career in broadcast media after earning a BA in Radio/TV Communications from the University of Central Florida. He worked in production and later as Art Director for Atlanta’s ABC affiliate before launching his own agency in 2009, specializing in web design and motion graphics.
Alongside his creative work, Dave pursued endurance sports—completing two Ironmans, multiple 50k trail races, and marathons—which eventually led him into the Run Specialty industry. He managed a $1.6M store and later served as Marketing Director for one of the Best Running Stores in the U.S. with 14 locations.
Today, he brings his combined expertise in media, marketing, and endurance sports to support retailers through Tri 2B Fit Agency.
