Our entire team was on site at The Running Event 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Each of us visited with all of the brands we represent, meeting with the sales and marketing teams. We also had scheduled meetings with accounts in our territories as well as impromptu drop-ins.
Most of us arrived between early morning and mid-afternoon on Tuesday. A few of us encountered some travel delays due to weather conditions (some also experienced their own version of Trains, Planes, and Automobiles on the return trip). We picked up our Exhibitor badges, courtesy of Feetures, and checked out the expo floor as booths were still being put together. It was an excellent opportunity to say hello and catch up with familiar faces. After checking into the hotel, we met the Feetures team for dinner and drinks. During the dinner, announcements were made, including awarding Feetures Rep of the Year, which went to our very own Naseem Haje (representing DC, DE, MD, VA, & WV) and Jeff Caron (representing NC & VA). As of 2025, every rep has, at some point, received this title (excluding our two new reps who joined the agency in the past two months and have accepted this new goal for the upcoming year). Congratulations, Naseem & Jeff!
Who Should Attend
If you own, manage, or buy for a running store, you should attend The Running Event. It’s where all of the major brands come to show off their latest products and give you a preview of what’s in store for the following year, and in some instances, even a sneak peek two years down the road. This includes footwear, apparel, accessories, nutrition, and tech like GPS watches, headphones, recovery devices, and more! It’s also where you can get samples and even free products to help you test and decide if those are products you want to carry. It’s also a great place to discover new brands. Brands that might set the latest trends in running.
Another reason to attend is the show specials. We’re currently in the Fall/Winter ’26 selling season, and all brands are taking orders for it. Many offered discounts and incentives to either open new accounts or book orders for the FW26 season. If you’re concerned about margins and improving your profit margins, taking advantage of early booking discounts are a great way to help your bottom line. We had several show discounts from Body Glide, Coros, Feetures, and Tailwind.
The Running Event 2025 – Let’s Get Social
Another great part of The Running Event is the social aspect. There are several group runs every morning, ranging from 3 to 5 miles. Several brands partnered to provide music, food, and free giveaways for a fun experience. Each year, they also host the Indy 5k, a fun race with bragging rights for the fastest team in the industry. With the event held in San Antonio, TX, the Riverwalk path is a very scenic area to run through, and many of the runs took advantage of it, including stops at the famous Alamo!
The Running Event 2026
While in past years, The Running Event has been held in Austin, TX, the convention center is undergoing a $1.6 million renovation that will be completed in 2028. The event will return to San Antonio next year from December 1-3. So mark it on your calendar and start making plans to attend. Our team will be back and we look forward to connecting with you. You can also meet up with us at the Atlanta Shoe Market Show from February 14-16. We’ll be set up at multiple booths grouped for convenience, representing Feetures, Oofos, Nathan, and Topo Athletic.
