Big Peach Braselton celebrates its second anniversary with its annual Prediction Run. Tri 2B Fit was on site, representing Topo Athletic and Tailwind, supporting our local retail partner and their community. The Prediction Run was free to participants and offered multiple distances, including a 6-mile, 4-mile, & 2-mile option. This event took place on the morning of September 6th.
The Prediction Run
Participants must predict their finish time without a watch. The individual closest to their predicted time would be awarded a free pair of shoes of their choice. The Braselton store owners also own Runners Fit Race Work, one of the premier race timers in the Southeast, which facilitates race timing. The courses were out and back from the store parking lot, keeping logistics simple.
Demos for Participants
There were 5 running shoe brands offering participants to try on various models before, during, and after the race. Joe Gibson and Dave Martinez were on hand representing Topo Athletic and Tailwind Nutrition. The Phantom 4, Atmos, Aura, and Ultrafly 5 were available for race participants to test out during their run. We also had a cooler of Dualwalterlemon flavored Tailwind to help participants hydrate before and after the run. We had several runners new to Topo try on shoes, as well as individuals already running in Topo shoes, try on the latest versions. Those sampling Tailwind were also informed about the benefits of Endurance Fuel, Rapid Hydration, and Recovery mix products.
Participants started showing up before 7:30 am, with the race starting at 8:30 am. The event wrapped up around 10 am, after the Prediction Run winner was announced, followed by a raffle. A pair of Topo shoes, Feetures socks, and bags of Tailwind Nutrition were some of the many raffle prizes offered at this event.
